Construction and Maintenance Apprentice

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in construction, maintenance, and asphalt teams. As a Construction and Maintenance Apprentice, you will embark on a comprehensive program of learning and skills development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing general labouring duties including concreting, repair, and patching potholes, signage, and street furniture maintenance
  • Carrying out stormwater drainage and general maintenance on Council assets

Training and Qualifications:

  • On-the-job training supported by TAFE qualification in Cert III in Civil Construction (General)

Benefits and Conditions:

  • Temporary Full-time employment for up to 4 years
  • 38 hours per week with a 9 Day Fortnight working arrangement
  • Salary range from $584.20 per week (16 years old) to $803.30 per week (18+), plus superannuation benefits
