Operating Theatre Support Specialist

This role presents an opportunity to join our dynamic perioperative team as a key member of Perioperative Services. You will work closely with registered nurses to achieve best patient outcomes and high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and ensure the safe positioning and immediate preoperative preparation of patients in a timely manner.
- Assist with positioning and connection of equipment in the operating theatre while maintaining a sterile field, ensuring seamless delivery of quality care.
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing team focused on providing exceptional quality care to patients, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Be responsible for the safe transport and movement of patients inside and outside of the operating theatre.
- Prior experience in the perioperative setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
- A Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Specialising Operating Theatre Technician) is required as minimum.
- The successful candidate must hold a current Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Demonstrate ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team, prioritise tasks effectively, and take direction from senior staff.
- Cultivate a commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care, focusing on delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our community.
- Exhibit flexibility, a positive attitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service focus and communication skills.
