About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a keen and passionate engineer to develop their skills in scheduling using advanced software tools like Spry and Vulcan. You'll collaborate with our production department to deliver high-quality mine plans and designs for our open-cut coal mine site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling Outputs:
    • Dig and dump designs
    • Data analysis
    • Dozer push designs
    • Rehab designs
    • Operational plans
  • Utilizing Your Skills: Developing expertise in Spry for short-term and mid-term mine planning, effective communication with the production team, delivery of weekly planning packs, and compliance to safety standards.
  • Additional Tasks:
    • Providing information to relevant staff for reporting purposes
    • Assisting the drill and blast engineer where required
    • Identifying opportunities for improvements in operational efficiency

We're looking for someone with tertiary qualifications in Mining or Civil Engineering (or equivalent), minimum 2 years' operational mining engineering experience, and proficiency in MS Office, Vulcan, XPAC or SPRY, Deswik, 3D Dig or similar software.

You'll have excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, along with a strong commitment to health and safety best practices.
