Sales Assistant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining store displays, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer inquiries, resolving issues efficiently, and making product recommendations based on customer preferences.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handle cash, credit card payments, and manage returns and exchanges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking shelves, rotating inventory, and performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Support sales initiatives by promoting products, creating displays, and developing visual merchandising plans that drive sales and meet business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training in retail sales or marketing preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly between departments as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
