Job Overview

This role is focused on managing daily operations to ensure the achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.

As the NSW Contract Manager, you'll lead daily operations, manage site risks, support your team and drivers, control costs, and meet key financial targets.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a contract manager with excellent business acumen and the ability to solve operational issues. They must also be computer literate, have project management/event management experience, and hold excellent time management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct transport operations to ensure achievement of objectives.
  • Provide transportation and service rates.
  • Ensure supply for any contracts for transportation, distribution, or logistics services.
  • Analyse the financial impact of proposed changes.
  • Analyse financial records to improve efficiency.
  • Recommend optimal modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
  • Oversee job allocations.
  • Ensure sufficient contractor resources to match distribution needs.
  • Liaise with clients on any issues, providing advice and solutions in a timely manner.
  • Monitor & record driver efficiency, incidents, poor and good performance.
  • Source and evaluate Contractors as required.
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to reports.
  • Provide motivation to administration and despatch staff and contractor drivers.
