Job Description

The Head Swimming Coach is a key figure in our successful squad program. They develop training plans that showcase progressive pathways for swimmers at various levels, leading a team of instructors to design and deliver the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive programs with clear outcomes and lead a team of coaches to implement them effectively.
  • Promote the squad program and encourage participation in affiliated swimming clubs.
  • Ensure all squad activities are conducted safely and adhere to relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Monitor swimmer progress, identify talented individuals, and encourage their participation.
  • Coordinate swimming competitions and ensure safe environments for participants.
  • Work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends with occasional attendance at competitions throughout the year.
Desired Candidate Profile

We seek an experienced coach who is passionate about aquatic programs, enjoys working with children and adult athletes, and wants to teach competitive swimming and water safety skills.

Essential Qualifications
  • Teacher of Competitive Swimming/Certified Competitive Strokes Instructor.
  • Bronze level qualification (preferred).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • Previous experience in a comparable role demonstrating excellence in verbal communication and teamwork.
