Process Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Process Technician to join our operations team in Rockhampton, AU. As part of a collaborative environment, you will support day-to-day activities, troubleshoot issues, and maintain compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Operate plant systems and equipment according to standard operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Monitor process variables and make adjustments to maintain optimal performance
  • Perform routine inspections, data logging, and control system surveillance
  • Identify and troubleshoot process deviations or equipment faults
  • Assist in shutdown, startup, and emergency response procedures
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support reliability and continuous improvement
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards
  • Maintain accurate shift reports and handovers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Certificate III in Process Plant Operations is preferred
  • Experience working in a heavy chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing plant is preferred
  • Familiarity with control systems and process instrumentation
  • A strong awareness of process safety and risk management
  • Mechanical aptitude and sound troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to work in a shift-based roster
