Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized culinary professional to join our team as a Cook. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals that meet the dietary requirements of our residents.

You will work closely with our staff to ensure that all meals are prepared to a high standard, using fresh ingredients and following proper food handling practices.

In addition to your culinary skills, you will also be required to lead and assist the hospitality team in meal preparation, promote healthy eating practices, and maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in an aged care environment is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work positively and productively to prepare and deliver quality, nutritious meals that meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of food hygiene practices.
  • Ability to develop a strong, cohesive work team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact with residents in a friendly manner.
