Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Highgate Group Australia. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and enhance supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and enhance supplier relationships.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough assessments to ensure alignment with company standards and values.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with new and current suppliers to secure favourable agreements that support company objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and attributes to identify opportunities for improved sourcing.
  • Collaborate closely with the purchasing, product development, sales and marketing teams to ensure you are being as effective as possible in your role.
  • Maintain and manage supplier performance metrics to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and innovative sourcing techniques.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally in food packaging or consumables.
  • Ability to source globally and build relationships with international suppliers.
  • Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to think strategically while also possessing a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
