Technical Security Capability Development Manager

A highly motivated and skilled professional is sought by Defence to lead a small multi-role technical team responsible for the research and development that underpins Defence's technical security capability.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement technical solutions to advance Defence's capability.
- Integrate new technologies and methodologies.
- Provide comprehensive technical evaluation and analysis of equipment and technologies.
- Manage research and development initiatives of emerging technical threats to Defence.
- Provide advice on complex technical security matters to key stakeholders.
- Lead integration testing and evaluation of systems and subsystem components using industry standard test equipment.

About Our TeamThe Technical Security Capability Development team is a dynamic and highly skilled unit dedicated to advancing Defence's technical security capability.
The team provides overarching support to technical security operations, serving as a security protection layer against technical surveillance threats to Defence.
The team contributes to safeguarding sensitive information by applying engineering principles and methodologies to complex technical matters, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches for delivering new capability.
In addition, the team develops and sustains technical training packages to ensure currency of key skillsets.
Our Ideal CandidateWe seek a critical thinker with a comprehensive understanding of Defence's operating environment and a demonstrated interest in emerging technologies and its uses within a security context.
The successful candidate will have an Engineering Degree in the field of Electronics or Radio Frequency technologies and demonstrated experience in managing teams, leading projects, teaching groups, and presenting to a wide range of customers.
The successful candidate will also manage a technical workshop with various tools and processes, and exposure to WHS requirements, regulations, and policy would be an advantage.
