Food Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic staff member to join our team as a Café/Food Services Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering catering needs, special requirements, and food preferences for residents, their families, and friends.

The role requires the ability to work as part of a friendly and close-knit team, with excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a café, food services environment, and/or at an aged care facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serving residents, families, and their friends.
  • Preparing, presenting, and serving food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for dietary requirements.
  • Plating and presenting food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements.
Requirements:
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Great communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate.
  • Previous experience working in a café, food services environment, and/or at an aged care facility.
  • Patience, common sense, and a strong ethos of client service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision.
