Secondary Teacher

This is a part-time position in an educational setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, promoting academic excellence and spiritual growth.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.

A key requirement of this role is the ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans, tailored to meet the needs of students at different levels of development.

  • The teacher will promote a positive learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity and engagement.
  • The teacher will assess student progress and adjust their teaching strategies accordingly.

The teacher will also be required to participate in professional development opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills.

The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable persons and preventing those in our care from suffering abuse or neglect.

Requirements:
  • A four-year trained teacher with NESA accreditation
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check number
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
  • Completion of CPR training
