Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Catering Assistant to join our team. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food and nutrition services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks to residents
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
  • Certificate in Food Handling (desirable)
  • Practical understanding of catering and nutrition needs of older adults in residential care
  • Ability to comply with safe work practices and food handling practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Basic kitchen knowledge and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret dietary information
  • Experience in Aged Care food service
  • Knowledge and understanding of Person Centred Care
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
