We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review journal entries, including payroll accruals, bonus provisions, prepaid insurance, and intercompany transactions. These tasks involve maintaining accurate records of financial activities and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure transaction integrity of trial balance coding, guaranteeing that all transactions are properly accounted for and reported.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
  • Lead monthly reconciliation of payroll liabilities, tax balances, inventory, GRNI, and COGS roll over, ensuring that all financial statements accurately reflect the company's position.
  • Review key GL accounts, analyzing variances and making adjustments as necessary to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Review and resolve allocations within AR/AP aged balances in coordination with shared services, facilitating efficient cash flow management.
Compliance & Tax Support:
  • Support PAYG, payroll tax, Novated lease FBT submissions, and GST/BAS preparation, ensuring timely completion of regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with external advisors on income tax reconciliations, collaborating to achieve accurate and compliant financial results.
  • Coordinate QuickSuper file approvals as required, managing administrative tasks efficiently.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with the Financial Analyst to align on month-end performance, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews, promoting transparency and cooperation.
  • Support group-level compliance with accounting policy and reporting requirements, fostering a culture of adherence to best practices.
Cashflow & Payment Oversight:
  • Review payment runs, assist with Corpay international remittance, and support cash flow forecasting, ensuring seamless payment processes and informed decision-making.
Ad Hoc & Project Work:
  • Assist the Regional Financial Controller in handling regulatory updates, audit prep, local project tasks, and one-off adjustments or write-off journals, providing comprehensive support.

Requirements include 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, audit coordination, and compliance, with a strong understanding of AASB/IFRS and general ledger ownership. We seek a candidate with excellent technical skills, a self-starting mindset, adaptability, and a solution-focused approach, complemented by strong communication and collaboration skills.
