Tax Director Role

This is a challenging role offering the unique chance to lead a fast-paced tax function in Asia-Pacific.
- Prepare, review and sign corporate income tax returns and supporting workpapers for subsidiaries.
- Manage and collaborate with external tax advisors to complete income tax returns for subsidiaries in New Zealand and other Asia-Pacific countries.
- Calculate current and deferred income taxes for subsidiaries under local GAAP and US GAAP.
- Manage indirect taxes for subsidiaries.
- Prepare, review, remit, and file GST and Business Activity statements, and GST returns.
- Manage tax audits with the Australian Tax Office, New Zealand Inland Revenue, and other tax authorities in Asia.
- Work with the Global M&A Senior Tax Manager and perform pre-acquisition tax planning and due diligence on potential acquisitions.
- Review tax related items in opening balance sheet and purchase price accounting calculations for acquisitions.
- Work with the Global Tax and Treasury teams to repatriate cash using tax efficient methods.
- Chartered Accountant CA/CPA designation or equivalent experience.
- Proven Australian corporate income tax accounting and returns experience.
- Experience managing corporate income and indirect taxes for Asia-Pacific entities in countries such as New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience writing tax memorandums.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
