Major Capital Projects Scheduler Opportunity

The role of a scheduler is crucial in ensuring project delivery on time and within scope. This key position will report directly to the Superintendent and be responsible for developing, analyzing, and managing detailed schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive schedules for major study and execution projects.
  • Provide schedule analysis to support project phasing and cost control.
  • Monitor and interrogate contractor schedules to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Identify potential delays early and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Support the full life cycle of projects from engineering design through to commissioning.
  • Apply best practice scheduling methodologies, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and critical path methodology.
  • Manage schedule change control, progress measurement, and commissioning/start-up planning.

About You:

  • Proven expertise in Oracle Primavera P6 or similar project management tools.
  • Strong experience in scheduling major projects in heavy industry.
  • Experience across the full project life cycle, including site execution and commissioning phases.
  • Solid understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and critical path methodology.
  • Skilled in schedule analysis, risk mitigation, and contractor engagement.
