About Us
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our research, development and engagement efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering nationally significant research across invasive pests and weeds.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of five direct reports in delivering high-impact research projects
- Oversee the quality, delivery and impact of our research portfolio, providing rigorous project oversight and governance
- Provide strategic reporting on research program outcomes, including updates to key stakeholders
- Represent us on national working groups, research forums, and major collaborative initiatives
- A PhD or Masters Degree in a relevant field, equipping you with the ability to assess complex scientific concepts
- Knowledge of invasive animals and/or weeds, and their impacts and control options
- Excellent project management skills, including governance, reporting and stakeholder management
- Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with government and industry partners
- A strong commercial mindset with a focus on growth and expansion
