About the Role:
Gold Fields is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Technical team as a Principal Specialist: Long-Term Planning. As a key member of our Technical Team, you will be responsible for the long-term mine planning activities at Gold Fields South Deep Operation, as well as providing technical support across the Gold Fields group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure close collaboration with operational teams to integrate Medium- and Long-Term planning.
- Underground Reserves calculation, design, and reporting process.
- Capital investment decision making, including financial modeling and options analysis, and requests for expenditure.
- Generate and ensure alignment between the Strategic, Business, and Reserve LOM plans.
- Involvement in relevant mining studies.
- Ensure consideration of ESG and Asset Optimization initiatives within the Long-Term Planning function.
- Contribute to the development of Mine Planning Processes and standards across the group.
About You:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
- Membership of AusIMM, ECSA, SIMM.
- Extensive experience in mine planning and mining studies.
- Extensive experience in Project/Cost/Consultant Management.
- Willingness to support the development of the Gold Fields Long Term Planning Team.
- Flexibility in roster and ability to travel when required.
