Sterilization Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterilization Services Attendant to join our team at SA Health. As a Sterilization Services Attendant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care by providing a timely, efficient, and effective service associated with the reprocessing of reusable medical devices.

• Sorting, decontaminating, inspecting, and packing of reusable medical devices prior to disinfection/sterilization.
• Utilization of manual/mechanical methods to decontaminate reusable medical devices.
• Inspection of reusable medical devices to ensure devices are clean and functioning correctly.
• Packaging and labeling of single and trays of reusable medical devices.
• Utilization of High-Level Disinfection/sterilization of reusable medical devices utilizing steam or low temperature sterilization.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience working as an individual or as a team member in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• The ability to interpret complex instructions and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to cooperate with staff at all levels.
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
