About the Role

RUC Cementation Mining Contractors Pty Ltd currently has an opportunity for trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our Edna May team. The roster will be 8 shifts on and 6 shifts off, with drive-in, drive-out transportation, accommodation, and messing provided.

To minimize unplanned stoppages for mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance, immediate breakdown response, and installations.

  • Servicing and maintaining underground mobile plant and equipment such as jumbos, boggers, graders, and loaders.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting of mechanical faults.
  • Dismantling and assembling machine parts, and engines, and replacing worn-out parts.
  • Conducting routine inspections and scheduling maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Performing routine lubrication of machine parts, tuning of the engine, and ensuring the machines are working to site compliance.
  • Providing preventative and corrective maintenance as per the maintenance plan.
  • Updating maintenance log books in line with company policies and procedures.

Tickets and Licences Required:

  • Certificate III or higher in Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Plant Technology.
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Valid manual Australian driver's licence.
  • Able to provide a national police clearance within 6 months of commencement.
  • Working safely at heights.
  • Hold current Provide First Aid or ability to complete the course.
