Electoral Educator Opportunity

This role presents a unique chance for experienced education professionals to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and their community. As an Electoral Educator, you will design and deliver high-quality education programs that are inclusive, accessible, and engaging.

You will work within the Communication Education and Engagement Branch, responsible for ensuring all people are well-informed about the voting process in federal elections and referendums, while encouraging voters to participate actively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering education sessions on Australia's federal electoral system and creating engaging learning activities for students and adults.
  • Presenting education programs at the National Electoral Education Centre (NEEC) and welcoming schools from across Australia.
  • Crafting and updating electoral educational resources for schools and teachers using excellent written communication skills.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure objectives are met and positive results are achieved.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Demonstrated professional experience delivering education or training sessions in an engaging, clear, concise, and well-structured manner.
  • The ability to provide organizational and logistical support for education sessions and activities conducted by the Section.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in education, teaching, training, and assessment, or a related field.
  • An understanding of the Australian curriculum and its application to education resources.
