The Executive Director, External Affairs is a key member of WorkSafe Victoria's Executive Leadership Team, responsible for leading the development and delivery of the organisation's communications and engagement agenda.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement public education campaigns to promote workplace safety and encourage injured workers to return to work.
- Build and maintain relationships with government, industry, and community stakeholders to support WorkSafe's legislative mandate and policy objectives.
- Provide strategic advice to the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Leadership Team on communications and engagement matters.
- Oversee the delivery of legislative programs and the development of organisational policies and public-facing guidance.
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience leading the development and delivery of compelling corporate communications and marketing strategies, as well as experience in managing and leading a significant team of professionals.
You will have a proven ability to manage key stakeholder relationships and use these to influence effective negotiation and significant change.
