Project assurance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. In this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to take on a key role in overseeing project gating procedures, providing specialist advice and support to IT program and project management teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to provide guidance and coaching on portfolio assurance requirements.

About the Role

As a Portfolio Assurance Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive compliance evaluations, train project teams to ensure they comply with corporate governance requirements, and support program and project teams with advice on gating and transition requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on project management best practices and develop/refine project management frameworks.
  • Lead senior leaders in implementing a comprehensive project gating process to assess project readiness at key milestones.
  • Oversee IT gating on behalf of Business IT management to ensure IT projects align with the IT program & project management frameworks.
  • Coach project teams on gating requirements, associated frameworks, and procedural guidelines.
  • Participate in project reviews and other assurance activities.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, and compliance-related processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reporting on behalf of Business IT and the IT portfolio.
Requirements
  • Degree level qualification in a related field or significant experience relevant to the role.
  • Experience in managing, analysing, and reporting on quality assurance functions.
  • Significant experience in project compliance, project management, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management.
  • Prince2 Foundation/Practitioner Certification.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
