The role of a Light Vehicle Mechanic involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure the efficient operation of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and support to workshop personnel.
- Oversee all aspects of the workshop, including task distribution, inventory management, and quality of work.
- Foster a culture of safety and maintain the workshop environment in compliance with HSE industry standards.
- Establish systems to guarantee that all vehicles and equipment are kept in optimal condition.
- Ensure timely servicing and repairs of all vehicles as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and detail of all vehicles.
- Take responsibility for the workshop and the upkeep of all tools and equipment.
- Document all incidents related to vehicle operations.
- Verify that equipment is functional and meets required standards and quantities.
- Address and resolve any damages or complaints as necessary.
- Implement training and procedures aimed at enhancing business operations.
- Assist in the development and commissioning of new or replacement service vehicles and the decommissioning of outgoing ones.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possession of a relevant mechanical trade certification along with current experience and qualifications.
- Willingness to lead and manage a team.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- A strong commitment to safety practices.
- Proficient technical knowledge and diagnostic capabilities.
