Automotive Technician

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the EVS workshop, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction and expertise to workshop staff.
- Lead all functions of the EVS workshop, including job allocation, stock control, and work outcomes.
- Implement a safety culture and maintain the workshop and surroundings in line with HSE workshop industry standards.
- Develop systems to ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained at acceptable levels.
- Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired as scheduled or as required.
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned and detailed.
- Be accountable for the workshop and maintenance of all equipment.
- Keep records of incidents associated with vehicles.
- Ensure equipment is serviceable and in accordance with required quantities and standards.
- Investigate and resolve damages and complaints as required.
- Implement training and procedures to improve business operations.
- Assist with programs that build and commission new or replacement service vans and decommission outgoing vans.
Requirements:
- A relevant mechanical trade certificate and current experience, skills, and qualifications.
- Ability to lead a team and work unsupervised.
- Positive attitude to safety.
- Good technical expertise and diagnostic skills.
