We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced veterinary nurse to take on the role of Surgery Department Manager. This key position plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical nursing and animal care team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the nursing and animal attendant team within the surgery department, focusing on effective leadership and procedure coordination.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Oversee staff scheduling and approve timesheets outside of regular working hours.
  • Manage annual leave and personal leave requests efficiently.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among the team.
Hands-on Nursing and Procedure Coordination:
  • Coordinate surgical procedures, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other professionals to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentoring to the team to enhance their skills and confidence.
Reporting and Communication:
  • Maintain open communication channels with all team members to ensure transparency and clarity.
  • Submit regular reports to the Hospital Operations Manager, keeping them informed of progress and challenges.
