Job Description

Xero is seeking an experienced operations leader to shape the strategic direction of our platform enablement portfolio.

This role plays a pivotal leadership role in driving operational strategy and execution for critical platforms that underpin Xero's products and services.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud infrastructure, SRE principles, and operational strategies that align with business goals.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Be a trusted advisor to product or technology leaders and execute key business strategy, planning, and operating activities.
  2. Identify and execute opportunities for strategic and operational improvement across the organization.
  3. Partner with senior stakeholders to align and execute on commercial or technical outcomes.
  4. Drive execution and continual improvement of operational rituals and activities.
  5. Facilitate effective prioritization, measurement, reporting, and action on key metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure platform teams.
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles and experience implementing them.
  • Ability to define and execute operational strategies that align with business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of modern software development practices and operational needs of development teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
