UNSW Student Engagement Opportunities

The UNSW Australia Library is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Engagement Librarian to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting student wellbeing, connection and belonging.
About the RoleThis newly created professional role will support the Team Leader, Library Student Engagement in designing, planning and delivering student-focused events and activities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the Library matrix to develop and deliver a well-balanced suite of student services, events and activities.
Main Responsibilities- Event Design and Delivery: Develop and deliver a highly engaging program of activities, including orientation events, to support and foster student wellbeing and engagement with the Library.
- Event Operations Management: Manage operations around event organisation, including venue preparation, room bookings, event materials, promotions, participant organisation and attendee communications.
- Team Support: Support the Team Leader, Library Student Outreach in overseeing student Library Peer Mentors, including scheduling and timesheet verification.
- Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular evaluation of events and activities, gathering feedback from students and staff to inform continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering successful events and activities, preferably in a higher education environment.
- Experience liaising with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate events, leveraging event promotions and technology for streamlined processes.
- A passion for student engagement and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to analyse data and deliver reviews and reports with evidence-driven insights and recommendations.
We offer a competitive salary of AU$85,000 - AU$105,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including:
