About the Role

Fabrication on new and refurbished works is a key part of this Boilermaker position. You will be working with Medium/Heavy Plate work and Heavy Structural Steel.

  • Fabrication experience on Heavy Plate (Carbon & Mild Steel) and Heavy Structural Steel is preferred but not essential.
  • Good FCAW welding exposure is required.
  • You will need to read and understand fabrication and assembly drawings.

This is a 50 - 60 hour per week role, with Saturdays available depending on workloads. The minimum employment period is 3 - 4 months. We offer weekly pays for this opportunity.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III as a Boilermaker.
  • Engineering/Fabrication workshop experience.
  • Your own reliable transport and a clean current driver's license.
  • Competence in welding and passing a visual weld test on 3G (3 Run Vertical Uphill) on FCAW, not to UT standards on a visual weld test.
  • Your own tools of the trade in boiler making including your own welding helmet.
