We are seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join our Payroll team based in Adelaide or Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the processing of the fortnightly payroll and ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading vertically-integrated Electric Arc Furnace steel recycling, manufacturing and distribution business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily communication with stakeholders to assist with daily enquiries
  • Managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time
  • Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validating confirmed reports
  • Analysing and processing timesheets for multiple locations
  • Understanding taxation of employer-paid benefits, Payroll Tax and PAYG
  • Managing new starters and terminations
  • Generating fortnightly and monthly financial reporting
  • Leave processing, deductions, allowances, bonus, and choice of super
  • Building strong relationships across the business

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in payroll processing, knowledge of relevant legislation, awards, and the ability to interpret EBAs. Proficiency in SAP is also essential, along with intermediate experience in Excel and the ability to generate financial reports. Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, and high-level professionalism are also required.
