About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for individuals who possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for:
- Responding to emergency calls and providing critical information to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Dispatching ambulance resources and coordinating patient transport movements.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and healthcare professionals.
You will be working collaboratively with our Operations Centre team and other health care providers to deliver high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Communication & Relationships: Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and healthcare professionals through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Learning & Development: Rapidly acquire knowledge of technical aspects of the role and relevant policies and procedures, with a commitment to ongoing education and self-improvement.
- Professional Conduct & Performance: Demonstrate exceptional professionalism, integrity, and performance standards, upholding expected standards of conduct and performance in a demanding work environment.
- Operational Readiness & Fitness for Duty: Maintain medical, physical, and psychological well-being to safely undertake duties as a Critical Care Communication Officer.
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate (with Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation component) or equivalent.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and participate in on-call duties.
- Capacity to manage stress and maintain performance under pressure without negative impact on self or others.
