About this role: Equipment Calibration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Equipment Calibration Specialist. This pivotal position involves ensuring exceptional customer service by calibrating material testing equipment for soil, rock, and concrete testing laboratories. Based in Brisbane, you'll operate locally, regionally, and interstate, enjoying a multifaceted role with various locations and scopes.

As an Equipment Calibration Specialist, you will split your time between our Geebung branch and servicing both in-house and external stakeholders. Periodic travel, typically overnight, of approximately one week per month, is required for scheduled calibrations on testing equipment across Australia.

Key responsibilities include performing calibrations primarily on equipment for clients (off-site) as well as internally within the workshop, covering weighing devices, pressure, force, and dimensional instruments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate in-house machinery
  • Execute day-to-day laboratory calibrations
  • Servicing clients' equipment off-site
  • Provide on-the-job training
  • Servicing testing machines and precision instruments
  • Prepare test reports and worksheets
  • Set-up and maintenance of laboratory equipment and software
  • Conduct work on local and rural job sites

Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of calibration experience
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic equipment
  • Mechanical & electrical aptitude highly regarded
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability
  • Driver's License required for intrastate and interstate travel
  • Desire to exceed in-house and client expectations
