Structural Engineering Career

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in structural projects. The successful candidate will have an interest in both mechanical systems and structural integrity.

  • Analysing and assessing plant equipment and structural components.
  • Designing modifications to optimise existing mechanical and structural systems.
  • Assisting in the design and coordination of new equipment installations, including load-bearing supports, platforms, and foundations.
  • Supporting shutdown planning — including developing detailed work packs, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Preparing technical specifications for tendering, reviewing supplier proposals, and supporting contract awards.

This is a unique opportunity to learn how to integrate safety and environmental requirements into all designs, plans, and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering with an interest in or exposure to structural engineering principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project planning tools (Microsoft Project experience is a plus).
  • Some exposure to CAD software (AutoCAD experience desirable).
  • Eagerness to learn, adaptability, and readiness to work in a dynamic industrial environment.
