Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Western Queensland. The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in fitting and be able to work independently as well as part of a close-knit crew.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery used in the mineral extraction process. This will include tasks such as performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and carrying out repairs as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and be willing to travel to remote locations on a regular basis.

  • Experience in maintaining processing facilities (ideally, mining)
  • Skills using mills and lathes
  • Trade-qualification
  • Willingness to work under FIFO conditions

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a great crew in a newly finished base camp with all the amenities. Meals are fully catered, accommodation is single or double, and there are wet areas that are not just the pool.

This is a casual role, working 12 hour shifts every weekend, Monday to Friday. The salary is competitive, ranging from $38.22 - $61.75 per hour.
