Coal Quality Engineer Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee coal quality processes and implement quality control measures across mining and processing stages. This position offers an opportunity for career advancement in a technically diverse environment.

  • Manage coal quality standards to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives across the supply chain
  • Develop forecasts to support optimal product delivery and meet customer needs
  • Coordinate logistics to support reliable coal delivery
  • Audit and assess quality systems to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate on initiatives to enhance coal quality, supply chain efficiency, and throughput
  • Leverage software tools to track, report, and analyze coal quality metrics
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship on coal quality issues and solutions.

The Job:

This is a Monday to Friday roster position with one rostered day off per month, offering a balanced lifestyle in Mudgee or nearby towns.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining/Civil Engineering/Geology/Process or comparable field
  • Proven experience in open-cut mining operations, preferably coal
  • Experience in coal logistics and supply chain coordination is desirable
  • Strong skills in MS Office; data analytics or logistics software experience is advantageous
  • Demonstrated track record of initiating Continuous Improvement projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of safety and environmental responsibility
