About the Role

  • To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering, cleaning, and laundry services
  • Use your skills in food services and cleaning to provide our residents with an empathetic and personal approach

About You

  • Previous catering or food service experience is preferred but not essential
  • You will be a team player and someone who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable residents

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards
  • Complete required documentation and reporting
  • Respond to residents' queries and requests
  • Laundry duties include loading washers and dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping, or ironing linen
  • Catering and food services duties include assisting with basic food preparation, providing meals and snacks, clearing dining areas, and dishwashing
  • Cleaning duties include general cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal, and living areas

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cleaning or catering experience is preferred but not essential
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • You will have an understanding of work health, safety, and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised
