Senior Building Designer

This is a mid-senior level full-time role as a Senior Building Designer in our growing Buildings Team. The team consists of Projects Managers, Development Managers, Senior Architects, Architects, and Graduate Architects.

About the Role
  • Lead the development and delivery of education projects of various scales and budgets
  • Develop detailed construction drawings and specifications for school buildings using ArchiCAD
  • Ensure drawings are compliant with local codes and regulations
  • Interpret and coordinate council requirements and consultant reports into construction drawings
  • Work collaboratively with the development team using Archicad Teamwork
Responsibilities
  • Work independently and unsupervised while remaining accountable to the Senior Architect
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in Australia, preferably in education projects
  • Proven experience of leading small-scale projects from concept to completion
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding documentation skills (ArchiCAD essential) and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with multiple stakeholders
  • Sound understanding of the National Construction Code and general construction methodology
  • Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check
  • Active Christian faith and church involvement
  • Commitment to live and work in accordance with the Christian Faith and its values

The role is based in our corporate office on the Central Coast with a flexible work policy allowing a portion of work-from-home.
