Career Opportunities:

As a Registered Nurse at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), you will be an integral part of a dedicated team within Tasmania's premier tertiary referral hospital. The RHH provides comprehensive healthcare services, including acute, sub-acute, mental health, and aged care for a large population.

We are currently looking for Nurses in the following specialties:

  • Medical and Cancer Services: Including General Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Renal, Respiratory, Stroke, and Endocrine.
  • Surgical Services: Covering Orthopaedic, Trauma, General Surgical, Vascular, Burns, Neurosurgery, Plastics, Urology, Anaesthetics, and Recovery.
  • Sub-acute Services: Encompassing Fast and Slow Stream Rehabilitation, Rural and Remote Nursing, and Palliative Care.
  • Permanent Pool: Opportunities available through Nurse Bank.

Employment Details:

  • Permanent, full-time and part-time positions with rotational shifts, working up to 76 hours per fortnight.
  • Registered Nurse Grade 3-4.
  • Competitive salary range of $75,902 - $102,908 per annum, pro-rata, plus penalty rates and 11.5% superannuation.
  • Access to salary packaging benefits, including living expenses and meals and entertainment allowances.
  • Post Graduate Allowance available based on qualifications.
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following essential requirements:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

Pre-employment Checks:

Successful candidates will undergo a series of pre-employment checks, including:

  • Conviction checks in various categories.
  • Disciplinary action review from previous employment.
