Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with the preparation of supplementary monthly and quarterly close deliverables, including financial statements and management reports.
  • Support the team in meeting internal and external audit requirements, including the preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit queries.
  • Assist with external financial reporting requirements, including the preparation of financial statements and other regulatory reports.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the close process, working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an accounting role, ideally 3-4 years plus experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hold a CA, CPA or ACA designation, with up-to-date knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting software, such as PeopleSoft.
