About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Perth office, offering a unique opportunity to shape the training and learning strategy for our global workforce.

The Training Manager - Talent Development role is responsible for setting and managing South32's training standard, framework, and governance to build the competence of our people in line with legislative and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and maintaining the South32 Training Standard, Training Framework, and supporting guidelines;
  • Managing the development and delivery of practical, value-adding training solutions to meet identified training analysis needs and support the business strategy;
  • Establishing a global training stewardship regime to ensure compliance and training effectiveness.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in:

  • A deep understanding of learning and development principles, including adult learning, instructional design, and program evaluation;
  • Experience leading the design and implementation of learning strategies, policies, projects, and initiatives in commercial and industrial environments, leveraging technology for improved learning transfer;
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills;
  • An outcome-focused approach, results-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality products on time and within budget;
  • A tertiary qualification in HR, Learning and Development, Education, or Business (preferably).
