Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at our Lesmurdie facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessments and interventions for resident mobility, falls risk, and related musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of residents to identify their physical needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement and supervise pain management programs to improve residents' quality of life.
• Develop and deliver treatment programs to address problems of movement and/or function on an individual or group basis.
• Consult with healthcare professionals to select appropriate aids and equipment for residents.
• Supervise and guide physiotherapy assistants and students to ensure high-quality care.
• Participate in site-based meetings to discuss physiotherapy programs and contribute to the preparation of annual budgets.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including ACFI reporting.
• Conduct initial assessments of residents on admission and annual reviews as required.
• Order materials and supplies in conjunction with the Service/Centre Operations Manager.
• Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) Degree
• Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Experience in aged care assessment and rehabilitation, including equipment prescription
• Demonstrated excellence in specialist assessment and the delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy interventions
• Well-developed computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with clients with unmet needs and responsive behaviors
• Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and willingness to obtain a police clearance certificate
