About the Role

This is a full-time, fixed-term Cemetery Grounds Maintenance position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cemetery grounds through activities such as weeding, pruning, digging, raking, mulching, planting, spraying, hedging, edging, blowing, reticulation, and mowing.
  • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Communicate effectively and demonstrate compassion while applying solid horticulture skills.
  • Operate relevant plant and tool equipment as part of grounds maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high standards of grounds upkeep.
Requirements
  • Experience in parks and gardens maintenance (or similar), including relevant plant and tool operation.
  • Current Victorian driver's licence (mandatory).
  • Sound understanding of all aspects of grounds maintenance.
  • People-focused communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
