About the Opportunity

Medical Panels administers and manages the operations to fairly assess medical disputes under the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and the Wrongs Act 1958.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reception management and efficient check in of injured workers/claimants
  • Promote and manage safety standards in the Medical Panels reception and examination rooms; administer health questionnaires, manage PPE, and report concerns as necessary
  • Attend to, support and monitor injured workers/claimants before, during and after examinations
  • Arrange facilities for Panel examinations with nursing staff; ensure examination rooms, beds and equipment are prepared for next appointment
  • Prepare consent requests for further medical information and follow up to ensure timely receipt
  • Answer enquiries from stakeholders (injured workers/claimants, Courts, doctors, legal representatives) and route complex enquiries to the appropriate officer
About You

You will be a dedicated and experienced nursing professional with a strong background in clinical care administration. You will thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment and balance operational efficiency with compassionate patient-centered care.

You must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Division 1 Nurse
  • Able to commit to full-time hours Monday to Friday from Melbourne location
  • Experience in a medical clinic, community nursing or hospital setting
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to provide high-level administrative support in a high-volume, time-constrained environment
  • Professional liaison with diverse clients
  • Able to assess workload and re-prioritise activities to achieve business outcomes
  • Experience managing paper files in a complex operational environment
