Job Overview

As a Quality Control Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of effective rolling stock maintenance and material quality compliance processes.

This role involves leading a team of inspectors to achieve prioritized goals at the Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre.

You will develop and implement quality controls, deliver performance reports, and provide recommendations for improvement on quality standards.

A key aspect of this role is analyzing quality performance data and providing recommendations for mitigating current and future maintenance and material quality issues.

Additionally, you will provide advice on material non-conformance, maintain accurate records, and deliver timely and accurate reporting.

Collaboration with engineers and subject matter experts is essential in this role, ensuring that quality specifications and plans are met in compliance with laws, regulations, and safety standards.

Effective partnerships with vendors, fleet managers, and principal engineers are critical to maintaining quality and compliance in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality controls to ensure effective rolling stock maintenance and material quality compliance.
  • Lead a team of inspectors to deliver prioritized goals and objectives.
  • Analyze quality performance data to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Provide advice on material non-conformance and maintain accurate records.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting on quality performance and other relevant metrics.
