Telecommunications Technical Officer/Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technical Officer to join our team at Active Communications and Electrical WA. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry and will be responsible for assisting with our telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems
  • Read, interpret, and provide advice on design drawings
  • Use testing equipment such as site masters, PIM testers, RET testers & Fibre testing
  • Ensure effective site safety awareness and adherence to WHS requirements
  • Provide leadership, supervisory, and motivational skills to the team
  • Develop and implement solutions to design and build issues
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry
  • Sound understanding of WHS requirements and responsibilities
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in running a rigging crew, including daily tasks, scheduling, OH&S, reporting, risk management, solution focused, risk mitigation and team dynamics
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team

What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of $88,000 to $100,000 and the opportunity to work with a leading electrical contractor in Western Australia.
