Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Friendly Society Private Hospital. The ideal candidate will have advanced clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care, demonstrating a high level of skill in clinical decision making and hands-on care giving for a range of acute coronary, respiratory and medical conditions.
- Apply clinical assessment procedures to evaluate medical health status, identify and apply timely intervention to enhance patient outcomes.
- Identify deteriorating patients and escalate clinical intervention in a timely manner, seeking input from clinical peers, Medical Officers and other relevant health professionals.
- Develop effective interpersonal and communication skills to enhance and support quality patient care and build team trust and confidence.
Selection Criteria
- Current registration with AHPRA and completion of an Adult Life Support Certificate.
- Demonstrated management of a broad range of acute medical conditions, including cardiac and respiratory management, stroke and sepsis.
- Demonstrated experience in application of advanced adult and paediatric life support management and effective triage of patients.
- Relevant medical experience in an acute environment, demonstrating knowledge and skills transferable to a role in an emergency department.
- Ability to effectively communicate, share information and work collaboratively with an emergency department team.
