The Opportunity

We have a great career opportunity available for a Diesel Fitter to join our highly professional and skilled Workshop and Field Service team. This is a Full-time role, FIFO from Brisbane QLD to Orange NSW, DIDO and local opportunities also available. You'll work closely with a team of experienced Fitters and Technicians, responsible for maintaining heavy machinery and plant on a Mining infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair, servicing and maintenance of earthmoving plant, equipment, and light vehicles.
  • Implement and adhere to asset maintenance scheduling.
  • Travel between project sites and perform work in a field environment.
  • Carry out lockout and tag-out systems in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy.
  • Provide technical expertise to project teams and provide basic service training to plant operators where required.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Trade Qualification – Heavy Plant.
  • Proven experience in servicing and repairing Heavy Plant, Mechanical and Electrical processes.
  • Clear understanding of excellence in customer service.
  • Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
