About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is for a skilled Mechanic to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and repair of our plant, equipment, and vehicle fleet. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking general mechanical duties, including diagnosing, overhauling, repairing, tuning, and maintaining diesel and petrol-powered vehicles, plant, and equipment
  • Performing welding and fabrication tasks on Council plant, as well as hydraulic repairs, automotive electrical repairs, and other related tasks
  • Carrying out regular technical inspections of equipment and plant, and resolving any issues that may arise

About You:

  • Experience in a similar role, including the repair and maintenance of heavy plant and commercial vehicle fleets, welding, and fabrication
  • Motor Vehicle Repairer's Licence (automotive electrician or motor mechanic or similar)
  • Motor Vehicle Tradesperson's Certificate
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
