Medical Administrative Officer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Medical Administrative Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients and managing appointments
  • Processing Medicare, DVA, and Workcover claims and payments
  • Billing of appointments
  • Managing correspondence, both incoming and outgoing
  • Liasing closely with the Practice Manager, doctors, and staff to ensure the efficient running of the practice

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing situations
  • Good level of computer experience, including Microsoft Office and medical software
  • Professional approach to work, honesty, reliability, and punctuality
  • Calm and empathetic manner when interacting with patients and colleagues
