We are seeking a skilled Strategic Advisor to join our dynamic team at a Local Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating social sustainability policies, strategies, and action plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage requests for quote and consultants to deliver contracts
  • Respond to referrals on social impact assessments
  • Support social infrastructure and community needs assessments and social analysis
  • Support the work of the team as needed, for example research and internal engagement on key social strategy projects
  • Respond to social sustainability issues and opportunities to underpin the development of social policy, strategies, discussion papers, and general commentary

Requirements:

  • Expertise and experience in social planning and social sustainability
  • Understanding of social challenges and opportunities facing cities and communities
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Primary and secondary research expertise
